Are you a passionate English teacher looking to inspire the next generation of learners? Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Harrow area. The successful candidate will teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and creative lessons that foster a love of English while developing students' literacy, analytical thinking and communication skills.
This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to grow their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Teach English across Key Stages 3–5, delivering engaging lessons in English Language and English Literature.
• Plan and assess lessons that support student progress and achievement.
• Inspire students to develop strong reading, writing and critical thinking skills.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive and innovative English department.
• Encourage confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of English.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in English, English Literature or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for inspiring young people and making English engaging, accessible and relevant.
