English Teacher in a Secondary School based close to the Salisbury Area

Starting September

Pay – £140 - £210

Location –Salisbury area

Hours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-time

Overview:

Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a Secondary School based in the Salisbury area on a long-term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be teaching English to students in KS3 and KS4, working in a supportive department. The School will consider non-specialist English teachers for this role with experience teaching English in Secondary Schools.

Responsibilities:

-          Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English, catering to different learning styles and abilities.

-          Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

-          Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.

-          Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and contribute to the overall improvement of the department.

About the School:

The school is based in the Salisbury Area and is mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 1100 students in total. The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of not only the children but staff too and therefore offer training and support for staff who need it. The school believes in creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment through all aspects of teaching. The school place great value in their staff and offer loads of support to its team. There is free parking provided on school grounds.

Qualifications and Requirements:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.

-          Specialisation or degree in English.

-          Ideally experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.

-          Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

-          A genuine passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
