Role: Teacher of KS3 & KS4 English

Start: September 2024

Contract: Full-time 

Salary: MPR/UPR

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-18 coeducational secondary school and Sixth Form with an academy status, graded ‘GOOD’, with ‘OUTSTANDING’ Sixth Form during Ofsted’s most recent visit.  The school is easily accessible by car or public transport and is located in Ringwood. 

The school are looking to appoint a dynamic teacher of English to join their department as soon as possible, on a full-time from September 2024. The department members are all outstanding in their own individual way, with a wide range of experience and teaching styles.  The English department has 14 well decorated rooms and a vast collection of multimedia resources from the full canon of English Language and Literature.  The appointed teacher would be required to teach English at KS3 only.

Ideally you will:

Be an excellent classroom practitioner with an enjoyment of working with young people
Have effective classroom management and an ability to demonstrate resilience in working with challenging behaviour
Have effective time management; able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets
Be an excellent team player, genuinely committed to working in partnership with others
Be an excellent communicator to a variety of audiences with good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Be a reflective practitioner committed to developing own teaching and learning strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
