We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Burnley on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis from September 2024.

We have seen an influx of SEMH over recent years, and as a school we have made measures to support these needs.

Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students across various year groups. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
Inspiring a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking among pupils.
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and stimulating learning environment.
Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
