This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly, high quality and supportive staff team at Barley Lane School. This Lead English specialist role will be challenging but equally highly rewarding and a great opportunity.
You should:
• Be an English Subject Specialist;
• Have a commitment to working in partnership with staff, parents and external agencies to provide maximum support and excellent learning opportunities for all students;
• Have experience of working within an SEN setting or experience of working with children with SEN within a mainstream setting;
• Be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about encouraging all children to achieve success;
• Be ambitious to support and extend the learning opportunities for all of our children;
• Be able to build effective relationships with students;
• Be flexible and adaptable;
• Have very good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Have an understanding of SEMH and related conditions such as anxiety, attachment disorder, PDA, ASC, ADHD etc…
