English Teacher (KS3) – Dover, Kent

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for language and literature? Do you have a knack for inspiring students to explore the depths of English language and literature? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a KS3 English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating English lessons to students in Key Stage 3, fostering their development in reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

Your Role:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Key Stage 3 students.
Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported to achieve their full potential.
Use a variety of teaching resources and technology to enhance learning experiences and promote active participation.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, share best practices, and contribute to the overall improvement of the English department.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
Proven experience teaching English to Key Stage 3 students, preferably in a primary school setting. Strong knowledge of the KS3 English curriculum and assessment requirements.
Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love for English language and literature.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning activities.
