Dovetail and Slate are currently working with a brilliant SEN school who are looking for an English teacher to join their department on a full time basis- !!TEMP TO PERM!!
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified English Teacher to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This position is ideal for experienced teachers who are passionate about working with students with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Student Population: Mostly students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), along with some cases of anxiety, ADHD, and ADD. The school has a significant number of students with behavioural issues. Behavioural support is in place to assist.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or similar qualification is required.
Experience: Candidates can come from a mainstream background but must have experience or a strong interest in SEN. ECTs (Early Career Teachers) will be considered only if they have specific experience with SEN. It is also desirable to have a minimum of two years experience as an English Teacher.
Availability: Immediate start preferred, or by September at the latest.
Contract: 16 weeks temporary with the potential for a permanent position thereafter.
