Description:
Smile Education is looking for an English Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Telford.
This is a part-time opportunity, working Mondays and Tuesdays until Christmas, with the possibility of the role continuing into the new year. The successful candidate will primarily teach KS3 English, with some KS4 teaching available depending on experience.
The school has an excellent reputation and was rated Outstanding by Ofsted last year. It is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their personal best.
The Role
Teach English across KS3, with some KS4 depending on experience
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
Support students in developing their literacy, confidence and subject knowledge
Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement
Build positive relationships with students and staff
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive English departmentThe Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A passion for English and helping students reach their potential
Reliable, professional and able to commit to Mondays and Tuesdays
Able to travel to the school in TelfordWorking Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Days: Monday and Tuesday
Duration: Until Christmas, with the possibility of continuation
