Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Doncaster?

At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting an English Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis across a large variety of secondary schools throughout Doncaster.

This English Teacher Role will provide a platform for you to share your passion for English with secondary students at a variety of schools across while also offering you the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover to share your passion for other subjects where applicable.

Position: English Teacher

Location: Doncaster

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

The Role:

While working as an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to build their literary knowledge, critical thinking and analytical skills, while building the confidence to communicate their ideas effectively.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of schools.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging English Lessons across KS3 & KS4
Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
Support pupils progress and engagement
Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
Provide general secondary cover when required
Follow safeguarding procedures at all timesThe Ideal Candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching English, or relevant secondary teaching experience
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A flexible and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
