Teacher of English – Location: Newport
Are you a passionate and highly motivated English teacher looking to join a supportive educational environment in Newport? We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to work with a dedicated team at a respected secondary school in Newport.
The successful candidate will contribute to a committed English department that works collaboratively to improve educational outcomes for students in Newport. If you have a strong passion for developing literacy skills and can motivate learners of all abilities, this role could be an excellent fit.
Key Duties:
* Deliver engaging English lessons to students across different ability levels
* Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the English department
* Support students to improve their literacy and language skills
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding in accordance with school policies
* Monitor and track student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote literacy and overall literacy standards
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and recent educational practices
* Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire learners of varying abilities
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Experience working within a secondary school environment in Newport is desirable
* Enthusiasm for contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture
