I am currently working with a school based in Durham who are currently hiring cover supervisors for English for long term contracts.

The Role
To supervise whole classes
Working with KS3/KS4
The Cover Supervisor will give instructions for the lesson as provided by the teacher
Primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and keep pupils on task
Response to general questions
Provide feedback to teachers
Supervise pupils engaged in learning activities
Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils in the lesson
Deal with any problems or emergencies according to the schools policies and procedures
Provide objective and accurate feedback to the teacher on the conduct of the lesson
Keep appropriate records as agreed with the teacher
Provide administrative support to the department where required
The Candidate
Must be confident and comfortable working with students
DBS on update service is not essential, if not we can apply for one for you and then can be uploaded to the service
Must have sports coaching background
Relate well to students
Good at building rapports
Right to Work in the UK
Good communication skills
Will have the ability to develop and maintain a productive learning environment and have good behaviour management skills
