English and Maths Advanced Practitioner
Exciting opportunity for a Senior English or Maths lecturer to join an experienced team at a local college.
Fancy a teaching post in your speciality, where you will also be a supportive learning coach to the other Maths and English teachers in the team? Key Responsibilities:
Teach Maths or English
Support the learning of English and Maths teachers, and in doing so, improve teaching and learning.
Provide short-term sickness cover for relevant lessons when required.
Work with programme managers to ensure English and Maths is delivered smoothly and to a high standard
Coordinate half-termly staff meetings for standardisation and general planning.
Help teachers to contextualise the curriculum where needed.
Lead on updating of delivery plans
Requirements:
A Teaching Qualification, such as Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, CTLLS, or PTLLS/AET.
Degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
Level 2 English or Maths (or equivalent)
Demonstratable experience of advanced teaching practise
Working knowledge of effective quality assurance processes
