Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a technically skilled Team Leader to join a specialist manufacturing production team based in High Wycombe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient and productive working environment, whilst supporting the development of team members, resolving technical issues and driving continuous improvement across the production operation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in electromechanical assembly, testing, calibration and fault finding, combined with the ability to lead and support others.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support the production team, promoting efficient working practices and minimising downtime.

* Assemble, test and calibrate electromechanical products in line with approved procedures and quality standards.

* Provide technical support, fault finding and diagnostic assistance to resolve production issues.

* Read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings.

* Support stock accuracy, inventory activities and general production administration.

* Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, PPE, ESD and 5S.

* Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing and Service teams to resolve technical and operational issues.

* Help ensure products are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

* Support continuous improvement activities and departmental performance targets.

* Assist with colleague training, development and performance management.

* Ensure all relevant compliance requirements are followed, including risk assessments, COSHH and accident reporting.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

* Strong knowledge of manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing principles.

* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Experience working with electromechanical products and systems.

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

* Previous experience supporting or leading colleagues within a manufacturing environment.

* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

* A strong commitment to quality, health and safety and continuous improvement.

* The flexibility to undertake a broad range of hands-on operational activities.

* The physical capability to safely handle and move mechanical equipment and components.

Desirable Experience

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

* Mechanical or electromechanical assembly and disassembly.

* Testing and calibration of electromechanical equipment.

* Product repair and technical troubleshooting.

* Working within a precision engineering or specialist manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

A Level 4 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a degree/equivalent qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing, would be advantageous
