Description:
We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to oversee site operations, manage engineering personnel, and maintain equipment. You will deputise for the Engineering Manager as needed, ensuring compliance with site electrical standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Team Leader, you will promote Health & Safety awareness, ensure safe practices, conduct risk assessments, and investigate accidents to prevent recurrences.
Leading the team, you will drive continuous improvement, foster teamwork, and maintain effective communication across departments for site optimisation.
To maintain production efficiency, achieve line efficiencies above 80% while ensuring quality. Accurate recording and reporting of engineering activities are crucial, minimising rework through a “right first time” approach.
Your maintenance duties include planning schedules to prevent breakdowns, ensuring shift coverage, and promptly addressing repairs while maintaining a safe work environment.
Managing SAP orders within budget constraints is critical. Ensure financial compliance and promptly address exceptions to control expenditures.
Ensure compliance with quality systems, promptly address issues, support audits, and maintain accurate documentation.
Manage team training, conduct appraisals, and manage holidays. Collaborate with HR for staff development, identify training needs, and maintain up-to-date records.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* 5 years' experience in a food or food-related environment
* Management experience
* Wide-ranging knowledge of training and motivational skills
* City & Guild’s 236 Parts 1, 2 & 3
* Knowledge of the latest Electrical Regulations (17th Edition)
* Food-related Hygiene course
* Computer literate with SAP knowledge
