We are seeking a Multiskilled Engineering Supervisor to join our client’s team and drive excellence in engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and collaborate effectively with the Engineering Manager, Production Shift Leaders, and maintenance team members.
Coordinate day/shift maintenance activities to meet production objectives and KPIs.
Provide clear instructions to ensure safe working practices and minimise downtime.
Communicate production, equipment, and departmental activity to the Engineering Manager.
Assist in resolving breakdowns swiftly and efficiently while being hands-on.
Drive continual improvement of production equipment.
Ensure first-time fix and quality of work.
Liaise closely with production to minimize downtime and meet requirements.
Manage OEMs, contractors, and representatives when necessary.
Deliver technical support and training to the shift technical team.
Identify training opportunities for self and team members.
Utilise CMMS (EAM system) effectively.
Manage engineering team resources and set realistic task schedules.
Ensure compliance with standards, SOPs, and health and safety regulations.
Deputise for the Engineering Manager when required.
Skills & Experience required:

Experience as a multiskilled engineer, preferably with an electrical bias.
Qualified to HNC/HND level in engineering is desirable or qualified by experience
Minimum of 17th edition qualification in electrical installations.
Proven ability to manage a team of 10 engineers effectively.
Knowledge and understanding of injection moulding an advantage
Strong prioritisation skills to manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to ensure continuous operation of the plant on a 24/7 basis.
Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and effectively consult with various stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve production objectives.
Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
Proven history of delivering results and meeting KPI targets.
Commitment to ongoing learning and development to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5pm
