Engineering Stores Manager
Location: Salfords, near Horley, Surrey
Hours: 7:00am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday, half day Friday

Our client, an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Salfords, near Horley, is looking for an experienced Stores Manager to take responsibility for their engineering stores operation while also supervising a small production team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in engineering stores, manufacturing, inventory or stock control, combined with strong people-management skills.
You will be responsible for ensuring parts, components and materials are accurately controlled and available for production when required. Alongside the stores function, you will also have day-to-day responsibility for approximately 6–10 production employees.
Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day running of the engineering stores, including stock control, goods-in, issuing parts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
* Ensure materials and components are available to support production requirements and help prevent shortages or delays.
* Supervise and support a production team of approximately 6–10 employees, including workload allocation, attendance and general day-to-day management.
* Maintain high standards of organisation, health and safety, accuracy and efficiency across the stores and production areas.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience within engineering stores, manufacturing stores, stock control or a similar environment.
* Experience supervising or managing a small team.
* Strong organisational skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
* Good communication skills and confidence working closely with production, purchasing and other departments.
Experience using ERP, MRP or stock-control systems would be beneficial.
Working Hours
The working pattern is 7:00am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday, with a half day on Friday.
