Main Purpose

We are looking for a Skills Development Tutor - Engineering (Fabrication and Welding), to develop and deliver training to our learners by developing their knowledge and skills in the engineering industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineering professional to inspire and impart knowledge and enable talent to thrive in the North. You'll ensure that learner progress and targets are achieved and aligned with the quality standards set out by our client..

Responsibilities

All candidates must be able to assess and develop mechanical, maintenance and potentially CAD engineering.

It is essential to have a valid drivers license and access to a car.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and design face-to-face and blended curriculum to promote the attainment of retainable Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSB) making reasonable adjustments to meet the individual needs of learners across a wide variety of provisions.

* Participate in engagement activities such as open evenings to replenish individual and departmental study programme, adult, SSW, and apprenticeship caseloads as applicable.

* Account manages learner caseload to ensure we retain business, facilitate progression and secure new business.

* Mark/assess learners' work, provide structured feedback and determine development objectives.

* Accurately track the KSB progress of all learners and effectively risk band their timely progress and achievement using additional learner support funds and tools, where necessary, to ensure learners are not disadvantaged.

* Analyse stakeholder feedback impact tools to amplify the learner and employer voice to facilitate learner and employer-led curriculum improvements.

About You:

* Excellent communication skills.

* Efficient ability to plan and organise workload effectively.

* Inspirational coach and mentor.

* Creative and a problem-solver.

* Knowledgeable of the Engineering sector in the North West is desirable.

Skills Required:

* Any formal Teaching qualifications, PTTLS, DTTLS or working towards.

* At least 5 years in an Engineering environment.

* Knowledge of engineering qualification and standards: MOET, Engineering Technician, and Engineering Fitter.

* D32/D33 or A1 Essential or an equivalent assessors award.

* Ideally knowledge and experience of End Point Assessment (EPA).

* Competent IT Skills
