Acting as a key link between Project Management and Engineering Leadership, you will provide clear, up-to-date visibility of resource availability, commitments, and any emerging gaps or conflicts.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting our Design, Engineering, Production and Delivery Teams by coordinating project resource planning in collaboration with the Design, Delivery, Commissioning and Commercial teams. Reporting directly to Senior Management, you will help ensure engineering resources are effectively planned and aligned with project requirements, priorities and delivery objectives.

Build and maintain resource plans across engineering disciplines (mechanical, process, civils, electrical, commissioning, structural, design and production), aligned to the project delivery schedule.

Provide detailed resource extracts from master programmes to the Design, Engineering, Production & Delivery Teams.

Incorporate Contractor, Sub-contractor, Supplier and any third-party programmes into our overall programme.

Monitor, track and regularly update progress and status of resource programmes.

Keep projects on track by identifying critical activities and evaluating remedial actions to help resolve constraints.

Identify resourcing gaps, clashes and over-commitments early, and propose practical options to resolve them.

Track utilisation, availability and the skills matrix for the engineering team, keeping planning tools current and accurate.

Develop and maintain regular resourcing reports and dashboards for engineering and project leadership.

Maintain and improve the resource planning tools and processes used across the engineering department.

Attend project and engineering review meetings to keep resource plans grounded in real project status.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

Initiative and ability to work alone and as part of a team

Ability to develop and recommend alternative approaches to improve resource planning

Ability to work under pressure and against tight time deadlines to achieve on-time delivery

Experience in preparing and coordinating detailed resource plans encompassing design, engineering, construction, installation and commissioning

A working understanding of engineering project lifecycles, from tender through design to delivery.
