Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm

What would I be doing as an Engineering Manager?

* Champion the engineering team’s awareness of company strategy, visions, objectives, and initiatives.

* Promote continuous improvement, problem solving, and root cause analysis.

* Set, manage, and report against engineering KPIs.

* Proactively address performance issues and capitalise on opportunities to improve processes, and procedures.

* Lead engineering functions in ways that optimises resources to ensure the achievement of agreed goals within agreed budgets.

* Identify and provide support on the development and delivery of training to staff regarding new equipment.

* implement business continuity plans and actions

* Negotiate, set, and monitor the “spare” and “critical” parts list in ways that ensures that there is an adequate provision for purchasing the parts needed.

* Lead and monitor the completion of engineering activities in ways that ensures continuity and prevents stoppages.

* Develop, implement, and monitor the application of all Company policies and when needed oversee remedial actions that ensure the implementation of safe working practices

* Lead, set objectives, share best practices, and manage the team of engineers in ways that maximises performance.

The qualifications and experience required to be an Engineering Manager…?

* Experience working in a manufacturing role (preferred food).

* Knowledge and skills needed to problem solve, identify root causes of issues/concerns, deliver services within agreed budgets, and drive culture change throughout a Company.

* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

* Ability to drive and lead a culture of continuous improvement.

* Communicate clearly, set objectives, and provide feedback that drives process improvements
