Engineering Manager - Steel Industry

Location: Newport

Salary: £45,000 per annum & Bonus Scheme

Working Hours: Full Time, 39 hours per week (shifts: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm)

Our client, a leading steel company based in Newport, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team. If you have a proven track record in leading maintenance teams and a strong understanding of industry compliance, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities include:

Developing a clear strategy to improve onsite engineering services that support world-class manufacturing methods.
Designing clear and sustainable policies and procedures for the business and the team to operate by.
Benchmarking activities with other leading manufacturers.
Introducing systematic control methods to increase efficiency.
Changing behaviours within the function to provide a world-class service.
Developing expertise in onsite equipment.
Defining necessary maintenance activities that will impact manufacturing performance.
Liaising with other managers across the organisation to ensure integration of process recommendations and alignment with corporate objectives.
Managing specific projects and undertaking project activity.
Evaluating project results and providing recommendations for resource, procedure, system, or technology changes.
Ensuring the implementation of projects for expanding and modifying production lines.Requirements:

Experience leading a maintenance team in a machinery background and precision tolerances.
Hands on Engineering experience
Strong people management and time management skills.
Knowledge of SAP-based reporting systems.
Data-driven decision-making abilities.Salary: £45,000 per annum & Bonus Scheme
