We are currently recruiting for a CRE to work on Cambridge South Station project, as the CRE you will play a pivotal part in the successful development and implementation of the portfolio of works. Your particular focus will be on influencing design organisations to develop designs that can be built efficiently and safely.

During the construction phase you will oversee the engineering and construction teams, ensuring the works are built right first time. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious project that will offer you continued development working with and around an award winning team!

Project Scope:
The project’s scope of work is exciting & varied and is comprised of earthworks, drainage, piling, pre-cast and in-situ concrete, structural steelwork, structural timber, cladding and glazing systems, and bridge structures.
To support the construction of the Cambridge South Station project. The project comprises the construction of a new four platform railway station and associated infrastructure to provide a connection to Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with destinations such as central London, Stansted Airport, Ely and Birmingham.

What you will be doing: 

Leading a team of design & site engineers to ensure works are safe, compliant and satisfy project requirements.
Resolving problems with multiple interfaces (between disciplines and sub-contractors)
Ensure construction is controlled, appropriately managed and achieves quality requirements 
Develop & manage construction sequence and build methodology with consideration for interfacing sub-contractors and their programmes.
Manage construction temporary works.
Seek and implement Value Engineering decisions – with benefit for costs, programme and quality. 
Work closely with wider team comprising CEM / CREs / QS / PM as required with engineering input Who we are looking for: 
A solution focussed proactive leader capable of coordinating teams of engineers to overcome interdisciplinary challenges – working across design teams and specialist contractors - previous CRE Construction experience is essential, and ideally can undertake TWC role and also fulfil duties of NR Project Engineer (self-assurance)
