My client is a leading warehouse automation company who value the skills of ex-military engineers? They now have a vacancy at their site in Preston for an Engineering Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for a team of engineers and will ensure that the onsite operation runs smoothly.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
* Overall management of the onsite team and operation.
* Provide complete customer satisfaction whilst enhancing the reputation of the Company.
* Strategically plan and manage site budgets and associated commercial activities.
* Manage the onsite system improvements and installations.
* Develop on-site staff and resources.
* Take a leading role relating to escalation management.
* Interact with on-site and off-site management keeping them updated with any issues and successes, addressing all concerns in a professional manner.
* Appreciate Health & Safety considerations regarding given tasks and be able to conduct risk assessments.
* Provide monthly, summary and detailed reports covering commercial and technical activities.
Engineering Manager Requirements:
* Hold a relevant engineering qualification ideally to HNC/HND level.
* Experience of managing engineering teams.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* An understanding of continuous improvement.
* Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Flexible approach.
Engineering Manager Benefits:
* Salary is £59,000 per annum.
* Monday to Friday – 40 hours.
