Mechanical Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager for a client based in Preston, the role will be a full time permeant position with the client offering a salary that is commensurate with experience. The client does offer hybrid working but would be looking for candidates who can be site based.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading engineering strategies, bids, tenders, costs, schedules and resource planning.
* Managing multidisciplinary engineering delivery, technical direction and assurance.
* Ensuring designs comply with engineering requirements, legislation, regulations and applicable standards.
* Overseeing engineering compliance, verification and validation, UKCA/CE marking, configuration control and technical documentation.
* Applying conventional and nuclear safety principles throughout design and delivery.
* Managing technical risks, issues, change and recovery strategies to protect cost, quality and schedule.
* Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, SMEs and internal stakeholders.
* Driving quality, continuous improvement, learning from experience and engineering best practice.
* Developing, mentoring and coaching engineering personnel and supporting competency development.
* Ensuring environmental, health, safety and security requirements are consistently met.
