Are you an experienced Engineering Technician with a strong mechanical background and a passion for equipment reliability, maintenance excellence and continuous improvement?

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, is looking to appoint an Engineering Technician to join their sterile manufacturing operation. Working on a 4 on /4 off day shift pattern (no nights), you will provide critical engineering and maintenance support to production equipment within a highly regulated GMP environment.

The Role

This position sits at the heart of the manufacturing operation, ensuring equipment remains available, reliable and compliant through effective maintenance practices. You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance activities while supporting operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering preventative maintenance activities across a range of manufacturing equipment.
Carrying out reactive maintenance and fault-finding to minimise downtime.
Supporting equipment changeovers and production set-ups.
Performing routine maintenance inspections to ensure optimum equipment performance.
Executing scheduled maintenance tasks in line with site requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability through proactive maintenance strategies.
Working closely with Production and Quality teams to coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Assisting with improvement projects aimed at reducing future maintenance requirements.
Promoting best practice maintenance standards across the manufacturing area.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
Experience working within cleanroom or controlled production environments.
A solid understanding of GMP and engineering compliance requirements.
A proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a shift team.
