We have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor role
Salary: £55,000
Location: South Bedfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours 8.30am-4.30pm
Responsibilities of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor
* Direct and monitor all activities relating to manufacturing operations, equipment and processes
* Supervise the day-to-day activities of the site engineering team
* Prepare RFE’s/Capex’s for engineering tools and equipment
* Oversee design and development of equipment
* Manage critical spares
* Interview, train, develop and evaluate performance of engineering associates
* Manage total project activities with planned schedule for timely completion
* Recommend replacement of existing equipment
* Manage and present design proposals
* Establish priorities to ensure all machinery, equipment and facilities are in good, safe working condition
Requirements for a successful Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor
* Experience in supervision and/or project leadership
* Time-served Electrical/Mechanical engineer
* Excellent Electrical/mechanical aptitude
* Good knowledge of health and safety
* Flexible and pro-active
* Strong organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities
* Good communication skills
* Good inter-personal and team working skills
* Experience of engineering disciplines
* IT literate
* Experience with CAD software
