Description:
We are recruiting for a hands-on Engineering Machine Operator to join a specialist manufacturing company based in Yate.
This is not a traditional welding role and previous Electron Beam Welding experience is not required. Full training will be provided.
The role would suit someone from a practical engineering background such as:
* Toolmaking
* Manual machining
* Mechanical fitting
* Maintenance engineering
* Precision engineering
You will be operating specialist semi-automated machinery used to manufacture components for industries including aerospace, defence, motorsport, medical, oil & gas and space.
We are looking for someone who:
* Can read engineering drawings
* Is mechanically minded and hands-on
* Enjoys problem-solving
* Is willing to learn specialist manufacturing processes
* Is looking for a long-term position
Pay:
£17.00 per hour starting rate
Rising to £18.50 per hour after training, typically 3–4 months
Overtime normally available
Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 06:30–15:30
Friday: 06:30–11:30
Location: Yate
Due to the nature of some aerospace and defence work, successful candidates may be required to complete security and background checks
