Are you an experienced engineer ready to inspire the next generation of industry professionals?

We're looking for a passionate Engineering Lecturer to join our Engineering department, delivering engaging teaching across our T Level Engineering and Higher National Certificate/Diploma (HNC/D) programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry knowledge while helping learners develop the technical expertise, practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in modern engineering careers.

What you'll do:

Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across T Level and HNC/D Engineering programmes.

Plan engaging lessons and practical learning activities that prepare students for employment or higher education.

Teach a range of engineering subjects, including Computer-Aided Design (CAD), engineering design, electronics and Electrical Principles, manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering principles.

Monitor learner progress, providing timely feedback and support to maximise achievement.

Integrate industry-standard software, equipment and technologies into teaching and learning.

Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to learners.

Support T Level industry placements and employer-led projects.

Develop strong relationships with employers to ensure the curriculum reflects current industry practices.

Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the department.

What we're looking for:

A degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience teaching, training or mentoring within an engineering environment.

Strong technical knowledge in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), electronics and manufacturing engineering.

Experience of, or an understanding of, engineering qualifications at Level 3 and/or Higher Education.

Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.

Experience using industry-standard CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or Fusion 360 would be advantageous.

Experience within manufacturing, production or engineering design environments would be beneficial.

A passion for engineering education and helping learners achieve their full potential.
