Innova Search & Selection are currently recruiting for an Engineer to join the team at an established, high-volume manufacturing operation in Wrexham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer looking to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the reliable and efficient operation of production equipment.
The role has a 70% mechanical / 30% electrical split and will suit an engineer with a strong mechanical background and good electrical knowledge.
The Role
Working as part of the engineering team, you will play an important role in supporting the site's manufacturing operation and ensuring equipment and machinery remain reliable and operational.
The role will involve a combination of engineering support, fault-finding, problem-solving and maintaining the performance of production equipment.
We are particularly interested in engineers who have experience working with automated machinery. Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing or logistics environments will also be considered, particularly those with experience maintaining automated conveyor and sortation systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support across the manufacturing operation.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
* Support the reliable operation of production machinery and equipment.
* Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities.
* Identify faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
* Work with automated machinery and production systems.
* Support improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
* Work closely with production and engineering colleagues.
* Follow site Health & Safety procedures and engineering standards.
* Complete relevant engineering documentation and records.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Engineer with a strong practical and technical background.
You will ideally have:
* Previous engineering experience within manufacturing, production, logistics or a similar industrial environment.
* A strong mechanical or electrical engineering background.
* Good knowledge of the opposing discipline.
* Experience fault-finding on industrial or automated equipment.
* A hands-on approach to engineering and problem-solving.
* Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
* The ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
* A recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.
Experience as a Maintenance Engineer will also be considered, particularly where you have worked with automated production, conveyor or sortation machinery.
