Engagement and Participation Support Coordinator - £26,500 - £29,500 per annum (Salaries vary depending on experiences)

Hours – Part-Time, 22 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 12 Month Contract

Department – Adult Service Delivery

Location – AG Palmer House, Littlemore, Oxfordshire

What You’ll Be Doing:

Response are recruiting for an Engagement & Participation Support Coordinator within Adult Service Delivery. You will be responsible for client, family & friends experience, and participation work across adult mental health services. Support the development of sustainable models of participation and co-production in partnership with services to enable clients, their family and carers to be involved in the planning, development, design, delivery, and evaluation of services. Work within Responses’ participation strategy and support the development and delivery of the work plan. Ensure consistent good practice is in place to enable participation, involvement and coproduction across adult services. Ensure positive communication and support for family and friends is consistently applied across services and staff recognise the value of working with family, friends and carers of clients. Ensure robust feedback mechanisms are advertised and well-used.

Overall job responsibility: -Further detail can be viewed in the Job Description. Some of the core duties include:

Ensure views of clients are regularly gathered, feedback is collated, changes implemented in services and fed back to services. Develop mechanisms to ensure ‘you said, we did, you did’ is embedded across services.

Deliver the carer’s and the client’s forums, recording the minutes and creating reports. Promote the forums among these stakeholders.

Drive forward strategy for communication and support which develops positive and trusting relationships with family, friends and carers.

Increase understanding of co-production and embed culture which utilises opportunities for co-production and co-design, with guidance and resources to support staff to achieve this.

Develop and support comms for engagement and participation including newsletters and publishing client stories. Provide content to the Communications team, such as stories, quotes and media, that can be used for social media marketing.

Develop working relationships with teams across adult services and ensure standards are met within their services.

To undertake any other duties as required in agreement with the line manager to support service improvement based on client and family, carer feedback.

Attend all mandatory training required to complete and maintain your role, ensuring you keep up-to-date with changes to specific laws and legislation that are relevant to your role.

Comply and remain up to date with all safeguarding policies and procedures for both Adults and Children and Young People.

Educated to A Level or equivalent.

Detailed understanding of mental health and wellbeing challenges

An excellent understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion issues impacting on people’s lives

Engaging with clients, their family and friends individually and in groups.

Strong relationship building skills including relations with individuals using services, staff, internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team (and with other teams/ departments. Time self-management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to adapt this for the intended audience.

A genuine interest in mental health and well-being with a commitment to delivering Response's mission.

Demonstrates high levels of personal and professional integrity working to Response’s vision, mission and values which include a one-team approach.
