Energy Procurement Manager
Location: Birmingham, UK
Are you an experienced procurement professional in the energy sector looking for a pivotal role in a dynamic and growing company? We are searching for a Procurement Manager to join a thriving team in Birmingham.
About the business:
They support mid-market to corporate clients across the UK, helping them reduce their energy costs and usage through effective management and procurement practices. They pride themselves on their open and transparent approach in what can be a complex market space.
Role Overview:
As the portfolio continues to grow, this role is vital. You will be responsible for tendering and negotiating fixed electricity and gas contracts, focusing on public sector clients and large property management clients. You will work closely with Directors, designing and implementing fixed tenders from start to finish, and collaborating with other teams for flex clients.
Energy Procurement Manager - Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement fixed tenders from start to finish.
* Ensure compliance with public sector procurement legislation and protocols.
* Develop and manage long-term client and supplier relationships at all levels.
* Provide regular reports to the Directors.
* Advise clients on energy use and energy price risk-management strategies.
Energy Procurement Manager - Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in the B2B energy sector within electricity and gas specifically.
* Demonstrated risk management and public sector procurement knowledge.
* Understanding of commodity markets.
* Understanding of non-commodity costs.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Experience in building and maintaining key accounts in the energy industry.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)
