About the Role
As an Empty Homes Officer, you will play a crucial role in our Housing Improvement Team. Supported by our Private Sector Housing Team, you will coordinate efforts to revitalize empty homes. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance to homeowners, facilitating access to grants and loans (such as Kent County Council's 'No Use Empty' scheme), and implementing enforcement actions when necessary.
Who We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess:
A strong educational background and recent experience in a housing or enforcement role
Excellent negotiation skills and a self-motivated attitude
A keen interest in housing issues and a determination to bring empty homes back into use
