Pay Rates:
* £18.00-£21.50 PAYE per hour
* £20.00-£24.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour
* £23.00-£27.00 umbrella per hour
All of the rates are depending on skill and experience.
Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm, 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 to 3 days on site (specific days haven’t been confirmed at this stage) based on service needs, therefore, you must live in commuting location of our client’s site in Romford.
Job summary and Duties
As Employee Relations Partner, you’ll be expected to proactively manage a full Employee Relations caseload in a timely and proactive way which must be done in line with the principles of Just Culture, current HR best practice, Trust policies and procedures and any national/statutory guidelines.
Our client uses a business partnering model and you’ll support a dedicated area of their organisation.
You’ll be required to:
* Provide specialist advice, guidance and counsel to managers, supervisors and HR colleagues on all employee relations issues, policy interpretation and questions including such issues around conduct, capability (performance and sickness), reorganisation, termination of employment, employee complaints and compliance.
* Respond to employee issues and questions, providing feedback to managers to ensure appropriate action is taken where necessary.
* Where appropriate, engage with appropriate internal or external consultants and advisors, to gain specific legal or best practice advice on specific cases, to ensure best advice is provided.
* Provide HR representation for managers and employees in any formal processes (disciplinary, performance, sickness absence etc), ensuring decisions are consistent with best practice, legislation, Trust culture and policy.
* Report back any potential learning to the Commissioning Manager and Head of ER for dissemination following the conclusion of the investigation.
* Provide guidance and support to the Junior ER Partner in the undertaking of their duties.
* Take the lead on the updating of assigned HR policies to ensure compliance with best practice and any national guidelines as well as statutory changes.
* Work in collaboration with other HR colleagues, managers, and employees, provide relevant ER expertise in the execution of any initiatives or projects to which the post holder is assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Experience of working in a Senior HR Employee Relations focused role, preferably gained within the NHS, Healthcare or Public Sector
Hold a HR Management / relatable business studies degree or hold equivalent level work experience
Experience working in an operational HR role, preferably with some experience gained within the NHS/Healthcare sector
Hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification/above
Continual professional development (desirable)
Specialist knowledge of employee relations to standard for providing advice in employee relations cases
Generalist HR experience and knowledge to specialist level including application and interpretation of national and local terms and conditions
Understanding of the principles and application of formal employment policy and procedure
Knowledge of Employee Relations policies and processes
