Description:

We’re looking for a confident, people‑focused Employee Relations & Engagement Specialist to support our regional retail teams and help create a positive, high‑performing colleague experience across our stores. This is a key role for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, can manage complex ER matters, and knows how to build strong relationships with managers and colleagues on the ground.

You’ll act as the regional expert for employee relations, engagement, culture and people practices — ensuring our stores feel supported, our managers feel confident, and our colleagues feel valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

*

Provide expert ER advice to store managers across disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and conduct

*

Lead engagement activity across your region, supporting store leaders to build strong, inclusive cultures

*

Coach managers to improve capability, confidence and consistency in people management

*

Support organisational change, restructures and consultation activity

*

Partner with HRBPs, Operations and employee forums to strengthen communication and engagement

*

Analyse ER trends, engagement feedback and workforce insights to identify risks and opportunities

*

Deliver training workshops on ER processes, employment law and best practice

*

Support wellbeing initiatives, recognition programmes and colleague experience improvements

*

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policy and ACAS guidance

*

Build trusted relationships across your region, acting as a visible and proactive people partner

What We’re Looking For

*

Strong experience in employee relations within retail or fast‑paced multi‑site environments

*

Confident managing complex ER cases with a balanced, pragmatic approach

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

*

Ability to influence store leaders and drive positive cultural change

*

Strong understanding of employment law, ACAS guidance and ER best practice

*

Experience supporting engagement, wellbeing or culture‑building initiatives

*

Comfortable travelling across a regional patch and working autonomously

*

Calm, structured and solutions‑focused approach under pressure

What’s On Offer

*

Competitive salary + regional travel package

*

Opportunity to shape colleague experience across a large retail region

*

Strong progression potential within a growing people function

*

A supportive HR team with a focus on development, engagement and continuous improvement
