Portfolio HR & Reward is currently supporting a public sector organisation that is currently looking for a People Advisor to cover a MAT contract of 12 months.
The successful candidate will receive a day rate from £100-£150, plus holiday pay. This role is 37 hours per week Monday-Friday.
The Opportunity
Working very closely with the Strategic manager you will play a crucial role in partnering with stakeholders and manager to support the resolution of complex employee relations cases by providing advise on best practice and solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
By working closely with senior and service manager in different environments ranging from private to more informal one to one briefing all the way to formal hearings by providing insightful guidance and recommendations.
Be the point of contact for managers and employees regarding employee relations matters by providing advise, interpretations, and information.
Negotiate with Trade Union and Professional body representatives by having regulars check ins.
Feed information and best practise with a wide range of internal and external contacts.
Work in partnership with HR and OD across departments to maintain a network of professionals and managers by informing and facilitating project working.
Requirements
Relevant degree or professional qualification or HR experience
Strong written and verbal communications skills
CIPD member or graduate
Fluent in English
Salary - £100 - £150 plus holiday pay
