Description:

Employee Experience Project Manager
Location: Central London/Hybrid
Salary: £417.78 per day (umbrella) 6-12 Months Contract

Role Overview:
A London Local Authority is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to support the Workplace Lead on employee experience projects aimed at creating inclusive, sustainable, and accessible workspaces for all employees, including neurodivergent colleagues. The successful candidate will engage and consult with stakeholders, including staff, teams, departments, and senior leaders, collect and analyse feedback, present innovative ideas, and manage the procurement of new and existing furniture.
This role involves developing, implementing, and delivering project outcomes over time, with the candidate transitioning from a support role to project lead as the project progresses. Additional responsibilities include conducting audits of lockers, cabinets, and other storage areas, managing workplace decluttering and clearance to optimise space, and supporting further project work within the Workplace department, such as access card system replacement and small capital works for accessibility improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the transformation project for designated Council Building floors, expanding to other sites as the project progresses, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all employees and visitors.

* Manage project teams on specific Workplace Property projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and quality delivery.

* Integrate sustainable practices into workspace design and procurement processes.

* Engage and collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to align project goals.

* Work with project sponsors and stakeholders during project development to ensure appropriate delivery support and specialist advice.

* Develop and agree on key project documentation with project boards and stakeholders.

* Collect and analyse employee feedback to inform design decisions.

* Present ideas and progress updates to senior leadership and project groups.

* Procure new furniture, materials, and services, maximising the reuse of existing assets.

* Report project progress through performance management materials, escalating issues requiring higher-level action with supporting briefings and expert advice.

* Ensure project delivery aligns with the Council’s project management processes, including change control, risk and issue management, stakeholder communications, and monitoring and reporting.

* Maintain comprehensive, high-quality, reliable, and up-to-date project data.

* Conduct audits of locker, cabinet, and storage space usage and implement optimisation strategies.

* Conduct end-project evaluations to assess management efficacy, preparing end-project and Lessons Learned reports for effective communication.

* Ensure project coherence, manage, develop, and maintain the appropriate project environment and supporting documentation for successful outcomes.

* Hold overall budget responsibility for the projects.

* Provide management and leadership of the project team with coaching, mentoring, and professional development as necessary.
