Employability Tutor

Description:

Our client is a well-established, training provider based in Grimsby. Due to the expansion and forward-thinking direction of the company they are looking to recruit an Employability Tutor.

Purpose of the Employability Tutor:

The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment support.

Employability Tutor Responsibilities:

· Ensure accurate and timely marking of learner work and assessments

· Ensure learners are supported to develop soft skills and functional skills in English, Maths and ICT, through embedded learning activities

· Deliver employability skills, including CV writing, interview techniques, money management and personal presentation

· Plan and deliver engaging quality first teaching and learning sessions

· Ensure learning programmes meet the required criteria

· Supporting the recruitment of learners

· Create and maintain robust learner records

· Generating new business opportunities within programmes, ensuring learner caseload is maintained

· Monitor learner attendance and review the learner's progress

· Ensure learners are supported to develop soft skills and functional skills in English, Maths and ICT, through embedded learning activities

· Develop learners wider skills such as confidence building, motivation, behaviour, teamwork, and communication

· Create reports for all programmes

· Set targets with learners and work with them to achieve these

· Actively participate in all quality improvement processes, including observations of teaching, learning and assessment

· Ensure that all correspondence from the organisation is of the required standard and tone

The Perfect Employability Tutor Will Have the Following Requirements:

· Experience in delivering Maths and English

· Experience in providing Career Advice

· Experience in supporting young people with a diverse range of needs

Qualifications Required for the Employability Tutor:

· Must have achieved or be willing to achieve, DTLLS/CertEd or the Level 5 Diploma

· Assessor award
