Health and Safety Manager (EMEA Region)
Location: London (hybrid working)
Salary: Up to £85,000 plus Car Allowance

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's largest real estate/FM organisations to identify a new Health and Safety Manager for their EMEA portfolio region. The organisation holds a multimillion-pound property portfolio, which consists of a range of high and low-risk commercial properties.

This role will report directly to the EMEA Head of Health and Safety and would take responsibility for the implementation and delivery of strategic initiatives in conjunction with service line stakeholders, project managers (for design/build) and more. The role will also focus on the hard services/refurbishment elements to their real estate portfolio and the service line delivery to clients, as well as liaising with senior stakeholders across the business, with intention to raise the level of health and safety performance across the portfolio and share best practice across UK as well as EMEA.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

Engaging key internal and external stakeholders ensuring the vision for health and safety is communicated and implemented through the supply chain
Providing strategic (and technical) support to key decision makers and influencing the construction projects to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of decision making particularly at the design phase
Managing and supporting the wider team in the delivery of the health and safety strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally
Visiting sites, auditing projects, and working teams identify and drive improvementsThe successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

Proven experience in a similar property-based health and safety role, assisting on driving change across large organisations, focussing on service line delivery and a strong understanding on providing FM services within commercial real estate
NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) / relevant IOSH membership
A pragmatic approach to safety and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, from site level to the boardroomThis is an excellent opportunity to join an established real estate company with a long history and strong heritage.
