EMC ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - £55 PER HOUR - SC CLEARED (WILL UNDERGO) - 6 MONTHS (LIKELY EXTENSIONS) - BRISTOL - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for an EMC Engineer to join our client in Bristol on an initial 6 month contract from their major site in Bristol.

The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) department offers a unique environment, split between a hands-on test team working in a state-of-the-art EMC Facility and a highly skilled project consultancy team embedded across various projects to ensure good EMC practice and design.

Responsibilities:

This role is part of the EMC Project Team, which supports programs throughout their product lifecycles from concept through to disposal. Key tasks include establishing, progressing, and delivering risk reduction and qualification strategies to bring products into service. This involves writing documentation, reviewing hardware, and potentially conducting hands-on hardware reviews and informal testing.

Project Support: Provide support to projects to ensure the correct requirements are implemented, robust designs are achieved, and strategies are accurate.
Documentation: Write Environmental Requirement Specifications (ERS's), EMC Control Plans, Proving Plans, Proving Requirements, and Proving Instructions to support product development and qualification.
Qualification Testing: Oversee EMC qualification testing to ensure evidence is suitable for customers, resolving technical problems using analytical tools.

Key Locations:

Projects are supported from multiple locations to ensure proper implementation of requirements.
Formal testing is conducted in dedicated EMC Laboratories.

Required Skills and Experience:

Educational Background: Higher education or significant experience in Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC, or similar fields.
EMC Knowledge: Strong understanding of EMC and design principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
Deadline Management: Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Professionalism: Professional manner and adaptability to evolving company needs.
Autonomy: Capable of working independently to meet delivery needs.This role demands a proactive and adaptable individual who can manage assigned milestone deliverables associated with EMC engineering activities and act as a focal point and specialist for EMC requirements across various project teams
