Embedded Software Engineer -Southampton
Are you an experienced Embedded Software Engineer in Southampton with strong C++ skills looking to work on complex, technology-led products?
We’re working with an established engineering business developing sophisticated embedded systems and are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team.
The Role - Embedded Software Engineer -Southampton
You’ll be responsible for the development, maintenance and enhancement of embedded software across a range of products, working closely with software, FPGA and SoC engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain and test C/C++ software
* Design and implement new embedded software applications and features
* Carry out unit and integration testing
* Develop software for system control and monitoring
* Integrate communication protocols including RS232/RS422, CAN, RTP, UDP and TCP/IP
* Develop GUI applications using commercial and open-source libraries
We’re looking for someone with: Embedded Software Engineer -Southhampton
* 3+ years’ experience in Embedded Software Development
* Strong C++ development experience
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
* Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
* Experience working in Linux environments
* Experience with CI/CD
* Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, OOD and software design patterns
* Security clearance will be needed
