* Develop best practices to improve production capacity, product quality, and manufacturing reliability

* Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities

* Lead production engineering activities associated with Transfer of Technology (ToT) projects

* Develop operating instructions, work instructions, and equipment specifications for production activities

* Lead technology selection, evaluation, and implementation

* Produce technical notes, reports, test specifications, and engineering documentation

* Provide production support including fault finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective procedure documentation

* Develop automated process equipment through integration of electronic control systems and bespoke software, including the design and introduction of Special Tools & Test Equipment (STTE)

Requirements

* Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant experience

* Background in a design or manufacturing engineering role, with exposure to electromechanical systems and control systems

* Knowledge of control theory, servo systems, and control loops

* Familiarity with EMC, Mil-Std 461, and Mil-Std 810 advantageous

* Knowledge of IPC standards: IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21, IPC-A-620

* Understanding of digital signal processing and data acquisition

* Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and inspection processes

* Experience developing test scripts and UI software

* Understanding of interface control between electronics, firmware, and mechanical systems

* Familiarity with test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and electronic loads

* Mechanical and electro-optic understanding would be an advantage

* Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink; SPICE circuit simulation experience

* Eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance

What's Offered

* Competitive salary with profit sharing scheme

* Stakeholder pension and death in service scheme

* 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off)

* Rewards, recognition, and employee engagement initiatives
