HOURLY RATE: Up to £15.50 (DOE)

DURATION: 4 Months

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:00am till 4:30pm

A dedicated consultant as an additional layer of supportWe are seeking a highly organised and punctual Electronics Operations Assistant to join a thriving global business based in Ilminster, supporting them with a new and urgent project. You will be responsible for setting up machinery, processes, and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of optics, while following established procedures, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving departmental output and continuous improvement targets. This is a temporary role starting immediately until the end of the year therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit to the duration of the role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemble optical and mechanical products
Read and follow technical drawings accurately
Check components and finished products meet quality standards
Prepare materials, mix adhesives, and complete bonding and assembly tasks
Operate production equipment safely and correctly
Complete production paperwork, inspection records, and reports accurately
Support continuous improvement and maintain high health, safety, and quality standardsKEY SKILLS:
