Description:

We are looking to recruit an Electronics Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing Production Engineering team based at our facility in Whitley. Our Production Engineering team are responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of all production equipment and processes which enable the production of high-quality tele-healthcare equipment.

Main Purpose of Role:

As an Electronics Maintenance Technician, you will play a central role in ensuring the production of printed circuit boards
(PCBs) and products to the highest standards of design and manufacturing excellence. You will work closely with the Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer and assist in regular total preventative maintenance (TPM) and the upkeep of factory test equipment and machinery.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role.

The Ideal candidate:

To be successful in this role you will have a good technical knowledge in an electronic engineering discipline, with proven hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing plant equipment. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, collaborative in their approach, with good technical writing skills and have a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Conduct regular maintenance activities across all factory machinery and test equipment,

Assist the Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer with implementing TPM (total preventative maintenance) exercises across all factory machinery and test equipment,

Work closely with line leaders to identify issues and establishing corrective actions to improve the quality and yields of manufactured products,

Identify and report on process changes for yield, cost, and quality improvements, whilst ensuring highest quality of manufactured products,

Generate and report on performance metrics of manufacturing processes and taking appropriate action to maintain or enhance performance,

Ensure that all machinery is maintained safely and efficiently in accordance with company policy,

Provide technical support and training to operators on daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Good technical knowledge in an electronics engineering discipline,

Proven ’hands-on’ experience in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing plant equipment,

Good technical writing skills,

Good IT Skills,

Able to plan and proritise multiple tasks effectively ensuring quality and delivery to required timescales,

Able to demonstrate effective problem solving and analytical skills,

An effective team worker, collaborative in approach,

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written,
