Electronics Engineer

Permanent role

Based in Ampthill

Offering circa £50,000

Do you hold a formal Electronic Engineering qualification to HNC or higher?

Do you have EMC awareness at product and PCB level?

As the Electronics Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry!

Due to the nature of the work, you will be required ot achieve high level MOD security clearance.

You will be involved in:

Take responsibility for the design, development, and support of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion
Define processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of the electrical/electronic hardware
Provide technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture
Design and development of electrical/electronic circuitry (includes analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques, and power electronics).
Analysis, test, and evaluation of electronic/electrical circuits and components
Electrical/Electronic circuit simulation and analysis

Your skillset & experience:

Formal Electronic qualification such as HNC/HND/BEng
Experience of Electronics Hardware Design & Electrical Product Development for Harsh Environments
Electronic analysis of derating, stress, and tolerance
Experience of Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, and IPC awareness (Preferably Altium)
EMC Awareness at product and PCB level
Awareness of Def-Stan/Mil Standards, Safety, and Quality processes
Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration, and Test
Experience working with lab test equipment, JTAG design, and debug of electronic circuits
Experience with Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tool
