Full-time, Permanent position

???? Salary: Starting from £40,000 per annum

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the field of lighting systems, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their innovative team. They specialise in LED technology for military environments. With projects ranging from land to sea and air, this is a unique opportunity to make a real impact!

???? Duties and Responsibilities:

Design hardware and firmware for LED lighting systems, as well as data capture products and specialist electronic components
Collaborate with dedicated software engineers on new design projects and provide support to existing production and other areas of the company
Carry out detailed electronic circuit design, including simulation and design verification testing
Utilise Altium Designer software for PCB layout
Select suitable parts, taking obsolescence, availability, and cost into consideration
Create designs that incorporate electronic control of the electrical, optical, and thermal performance of LED lighting systems
Prepare and present electronic designs to the design team and project stakeholders at design reviews
Document design work, prepare reports, and ensure that design files and information are stored according to company procedures
Assist the Electronic Design Team Leader in recording and reporting design progress to the project and management teams
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology through ongoing training and development

???? Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Electronic Engineering or a similar subject
Minimum of 5 years of hardware design experience within a relevant industry
Strong knowledge of analogue and digital design, including microprocessors/microcontrollers, programmable logic, embedded firmware/software, SMPS design, and PCB design
Experience with design for EMC and some knowledge of design for military/avionics applications, including EMI/EMC specifications
Proficiency in schematic, PCB design, and simulation using Altium Designer or a similar software
Firmware development skills in C
Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
