Job Title: Field Service Engineer - High Voltage Battery Specialist

Location: Kent with frequent travel within the M25 and occasional travel throughout the UK

Company Overview: Our client is a leading provider of high-voltage battery solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles. They specialise in disassembly, repair, and remote diagnostics of high-voltage batteries (600V) used in various applications, including buses and commercial vehicles. Due to expanding operations, they are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join the team.

Job Description: As a Field Service Engineer specialising in high-voltage battery systems, you will play a critical role in disassembling, repairing, and diagnosing issues with batteries at customer sites and remotely from the workshop. This role requires frequent travel within the M25 and occasional travel to customer sites within London and throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Disassembly and Repair:

Travel to customer sites within London and the M25 area to perform disassembly and repair of high-voltage batteries.
Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Execute repairs according to company standards and safety protocols.
Document all work performed and provide detailed reports to the engineering team.
Remote Diagnostics:

Utilize remote monitoring and diagnostic tools from the workshop to assess battery performance and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to implement remote solutions and minimise downtime.
Travel and Customer Interaction:

Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns.
Coordinate travel arrangements and site visits to ensure timely response to service requests.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers on battery maintenance and usage.Requirements:

Full clean UK driving license.
Strong proficiency in electrical and electronics engineering, with a focus on high-voltage systems.
Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Willingness to travel frequently within the M25 and occasionally throughout the UK, with potential for overnight stays.
Physical fitness and capability to lift battery modules safely.
Highly flexible attitude towards work assignments and scheduling.
