Electronics Design Engineer
Great Yarmouth
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join an established engineering business developing specialist electronic systems for marine and offshore applications.
This is a hands-on design role covering electronic circuit design, prototyping, PCB development, testing and troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with other engineers to develop innovative products from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and prototype electronic circuits and systems
* Develop and integrate electronics into larger products
* Support PCB design, simulation and layout
* Produce technical documentation, test specifications and procedures
* Test, troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues
* Work within ISO 9001 quality processes
* Collaborate with engineers across design and development
* Keep up to date with developments in electronic engineering
About You
* Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong understanding of electronic circuit design
* Experience with circuit design, simulation and PCB layout software
* Experience programming MCU and PIC devices
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Experience
* C or C# programming
* DSP or FPGA development
* Analogue and RF circuit design
* Acoustic systems, ideally underwater
* Strong mathematical or physics background
