Are you an Electrical Guru with a knack for problem-solving? We're seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our tight-knit Engineering team in Plymouth. In this role, you'll leverage your electrical expertise to bolster our manufacturing and post-sales endeavors for an exciting new array of compact electro-mechanical devices.
About the Role:
This position offers diversity, making you the go-to resource for tackling manufacturing challenges and meeting customer needs. Your hands-on experience with electrical and electronic products will be invaluable as you engage in new product testing, and revamp existing items. If you're skilled in CAD, that's a plus!
Responsibilities:
Collaborate in designing and manufacturing compact electro-mechanical products.
Provide shopfloor support for product assembly and testing.
Assist our internal sales team by offering technical expertise to address customer inquiries.
Contribute to item creation and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) on our ERP system.
Offer technical assistance to our purchasing team for sourcing alternative parts.
Conduct thorough testing on new products.
Design, build, and maintain electrical test equipment.
Develop product support documentation including wiring diagrams and test instructions.
Manage CAD models, drawings, and wiring diagrams (training provided).
Requirements:
Technical qualification of HNC or above.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to fault diagnosis.
Practical experience in a technical role within manufacturing.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation.
Solid grasp of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable mindset.
Confidence to take initiative when needed.
