Electrician, BESS Fan Replacement
Location: Iron Acton, South Gloucestershire
Rate: £50 per hour
Start: 31 August 2026
Duration: Minimum 15 days
Positions: 4 Electricians, working as 2 teams of 2
MDE Group are recruiting 4 qualified Electricians to complete a programme of fan replacement works across BESS containers on an operational energy storage project.
The work will focus on replacing existing fan units and completing the associated electrical installation works within the BESS containers.
Scope of Work
▪️ Removal and replacement of existing fan units
▪️ Electrical disconnection and reconnection of equipment
▪️ Cable glanding and termination
▪️ Electrical installation works within BESS containers
▪️ Inspection and testing following installation
▪️ Checking completed works prior to handover
▪️ Working as part of a 2 person electrical team
▪️ Following site electrical safety procedures and project RAMS
Requirements
▪️ ECS Gold Card, JIB Electrician grade
▪️ Level 3 NVQ Electrical Installation or recognised equivalent
▪️ City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
▪️ Strong cable glanding and termination experience
▪️ Electrical installation and testing experience
▪️ Industrial, power, renewable energy or BESS experience advantageous
▪️ Available for the full 15 day minimum programme
£50 per hour
This is a short term, well paid project for experienced Electricians who can work independently and complete the fan replacement programme to a high standard
