Typical day as an Electrician

As an Electrician, all allocated jobs are completed right first time, with a whole job repair approach, providing a brilliant service for our customers. 

Testing and inspection, electrical installation and repairs     

Delivering high-quality and compliant work.

Multi skilling to improve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers’ homes.

Working in our properties across the North Lakes, Cumbria. All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have

City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent. 

Qualified to 18th edition IET wiring regulations, electrical inspection and testing 2391 and AM2 or equivalent.

Experience in electrical repairs, installation, testing and inspection within housing.

Fault finding experience and an excellent knowledge to ensure electrical faults are diagnosed and repaired effectively.

Experience in other building trade areas (multi skilled).

A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role.  This remains under regular review.

Job details

Working Monday to Friday, you’ll also take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis, receiving an additional generous on call payment of up to £525 per full week.

Our office base is in Maryport and the wider team cover the North Lakes, Cumbria. 

You must be able to use technology for logging jobs, complete online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.

You’ll need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.

You have a full current driving licence, as you will be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.
