We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at HMNB Portsmouth.

The working hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:15pm, and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm.

Boden Group deliver facilities maintenance services and project works to the Ministry of Defence and commercial clients at multiple sites in the South West and South East.

Duties you will be performing:

* Fault finding to resolve reactive Electrical issues in a timely and professional manner

* Undertake electrical installations

* Carry out electrical test and inspections asell as general electrical repairs and servicing tasks

* Complete emergency light testing and emergency light repairs

* To complete general power and lighting repairs

* Manage own workload to close out tasks in accordance with Schedule and KPIs.

* Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times

* Keep clear and concise written records for use by others

* Able to work unsupervised and on their own but also perform effectively as part of a small team

Technical Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

* A recognised apprenticeship with relevant experience as a fully qualified electrician and/or an appropriate City and Guilds/NVQ in an Electrical discipline

* Holds City and Guilds IEE 18th Edition Regulations

* Holds City and Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395 Testing and Inspection

* Up to date knowledge of latest legislation

* Experience of electrical testing

* Installation experience

* ECS Card or ability to obtain

Desirable

* Previous knowledge and experience of MOD contracts.

* Holds CompEx Hazardous and Explosive Area certification (or CompEx Fuel) or is prepared to gain these qualifications

* Experienced at working with control gear

* IPAF

* PASMA

Skills Profile:

* Must be able to gain and retain MoD Security clearance

* Must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
